What Is A Notary Public?
A Notary Public is a commissioned officer of the State to help assist
with the deterrence of FRAUD! Notaries deter fraud by authenticating signatures, identifications, and documents.
Notaries can provide a wide range of services to help the world go round.
Preparing For Your Appointment

You MUST have a valid state issued identification card. Your face, name, address, DOB, ID Number, and Expiration date must be free of any type of damage that would obscure the required information
NO EXCEPTIONS!

You MUST be of sound mind. A Notary has the right to refuse to notarize your documents.

All signers, witnesses, and person initiating the document, MUST be presnt and have a valid state issued identification card.

Requirements for Notarization
You MUST have the document that needs to be notarized at the time of the appointment.
You MUST have a valid ID. Your ID must be free of any type of damage that will obscure your face, ID number, name, address, date of birth, and expiration date.
You MUST take an oath under penalty of perjury.
You MUST appear before the Notary

Apostilles
Requirements for Notarization & Services
Documents that are needed for Apostille services. (If you don't have them we offer additional services called Vital Records to help acquire them).
You MUST have a valid ID. Your ID must be free of any type of damage that will obscure your face, ID number, name, address, date of birth, and expiration date.
Notarize documents (if applicable)
Appear before the notary if a notarization
is required.
If DDSS is providing Vital Record services to acquire the necessary documents for Apostilles, you MUST sign a Limited Power of Attorney
If a notarization is required, State Law require that you MUST be of sound mind and coherent.
Court Documents
Requirements for Notarization
You MUST have the document that needs to be notarized at the time of the appointment.
You MUST have a valid ID. Your ID must be free of any type of damage that will obscure your face, ID number, name, address, date of birth, and expiration date.
Depending on the document you MUST take an oath under penalty of perjury.
You MUST appear before the Notary
If your document requires witnesses, you MUST have witnesses present at the time of the appointment. (We provide witness services for an additional fee).

Legal Courier Services
Requirements for Notarization & Services
Documents for delivery and or notarization MUST be available for pickup at the appointted time
All authorized parties MUST have a valid ID. Your ID must be free of any type of damage that will obscure your face, ID number, name, address, date of birth, and expiration date.
Notarize documents (if applicable)
Appear before the notary if a notarization
is required.
Instructions MUST be provided 3 hours or more before services can be rendered.
